Skate Away with Stamp AnnieThing

Hello Stamp AnnieThing friends! Michelle Houghton here to share a little SAT inspiration with you today. Hope your Wednesday is treating you well and if your weather is cooling down you are taking in the wonderful crisp air of the autumn season.

Today's card is featuring Audrina - Skating By. I have been seeing all these lovely images with there wooly sweaters and scarves recently line and was dying to color one up myself. I used my Copic to color up Audrina:

Here are a couple close ups so you can see some of the details, I wanted the scarf to look warm and wooly:

and the ice to give the hint of reflection of Audrina as she glides by:

I kept the card super simple with a couple pattered paper layers and a couple Cardstock stickers popped into different layers:

Here is a final look at the completed card:

thank you as always for stopping by! Make sure to stop in the Stamp Anniething shop for all the latest! This Friday you will be blown away by Ann's creativity in the new Grab and Go release! Truly AMAZING!

Creating Plaid with Copic

Hi Stamp AnnieThing friends! Michelle Houghton here for your mid-week SAT inspiration. This month's theme is "Cozy Plaid" and I decided to create a little plaid with my Copic Markers.

I chose a favorite fall SAT stamp, Krissy - Fall Leaves, stamped her in a lighter ink in order to do a little no-line coloring, and then found some plaid patterned papers that I thought would. be fun to try to match. Usually I color first then match my papers, but this time knowing I wanted to create a plaid on Krissy's pants that matched the paper I started with papers first!

Here is a few photos so you can see the finished product:

Here you can see the pants a little better:

And here is a close up of her face, her little bow is so thin I have trouble coloring around wit so I added it on top with twine that I matched by coloring with Copic!

Then bonus! I have a video for you too check out how I colored her up. Hope you have a few minutes and can go check it out!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Marvelous!

Hello Stamp AnnieThing friends and fans! Michelle Houghton here for your mid-week SAT inspiration. I am playing along with this month's theme challenge and adding some "Gold" into my card and more specifically my images this time.

I decided to play with an image from a couple months back, Liberty - You Rev My Engine, She looks an awful lot like a super hero to me sooo...

I made some small modifications to her uniform and after I colored her with my Copics added gold foil onto both her uniform and in her hair as well.

I have been holding all the gorgeous metallic yardsticks that have been coming ion the Grab and Go boxes and decide to break out a sheet of that as well!

Ann has an amazing new set of banner dies and I used the to create this hero worthy back drop, The bottom patterned paper is just a photo of glitter if it was all that shiny it might overwhelm he he!

Thanks as always for stopping by!

Going Blue

Hi Stamp AnnieThing friends! Michelle Houghton here to share a little SAT inspiration for your mid-week entertainment. I decided to take another run at this month's release. (With all the beautiful new Stamp Anniething goodies out thee it is hard to remember what actually came out at the start of the month!) Back to Egypt we go!

I love all three of the new images this month as well as the fab-U-lous Grab and Go Box so I know I will be coloring up a lot of these images multiple times. One of the ways I entertain myself when coloring multiple times is to switch up the colors. If I am trying to improve technique or skills I stay exactly the same for multiple attempts at an image, but when I am coloring just to color or play I love pushing to find new colors combos for an image.

With my first round of coloring the Egyptian themed stamps this month I kept the color schemes very traditional looking up photo references on line so in coming back to the images I decided to start with the  Cleopatra image and go all blues to see what I would get. Even her kitty made a drastic change from a black cat originally to a barely there blue kitty.

Copics of course:

 Skin - R000, R01, R12, E93, E04, BV00 Hair - B41, B45, B37, B39 Dress - B93, B95, B97, B99 Copper - YR14, YR18, E09, B02 Cat - B0000, B02 and Colorless Blender

Then I created an inky background using Copic Various Inks and Yupo paper:

And layered it all together:

So fun! I know I will come back to these images and challenge myself with all sorts of different color combinations.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure to stay tuned for more inspiration and get an entry in for this month's Theme Challenge!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!!

Hello StampAnnieThing friends! Michelle Houghton here with a little mid-week inspiration. I used my Copics as usual to color up Molly - Sunflower.

I stamped her with a very light ink color so that I could do a little no-line coloring today, here is a close up and the colors I used:

Skin - E50, E21, E11(tongue - E93, E04) Hair - E21, E23, E25, E27  Sunflower - E31, E33, E35, Y32, Y35, Y38, G21, G24, G28  Overalls - B91, B95. Shirt - BV00, BV02
I also used a black Copic Multiliner for to add back in the pupils, eyelashes and mouth.

The patterned papers I used are from Stamp AnnieThing and the acrylic dots are as well!

June Love

Hello Stamp AnnieThing friends, Michelle Houghton here with a little hump day inspiration. I figured this month might be the perfect time to bring a couple stamp out to color up to celebrate June with summer and weddings in full swing.

I colored up the image with Copic markers and with two people I tried to keep the color palette pretty simple. You can add too many colors to an image and make it look a little too busy. So keeping colors closer to each other or coordinating through an image can help. In this case I made the couple look a little like my husband and myself so the skin and hair choices were determined by us!

Girl skin - E50, E01, E53, E93, E04, E33 hair - YR30, YR31, E21, E23, E25, E29, RV63, RV66, RV69 dress - B63, B66, B69 Boy skin - E50, E53, E34, E93, E04 hair - YR31, E21, E23, E25, E29 pants - E71, E74, E77 shirt - B95, B97, B99, B91

The background is an alcohol ink blob I created a while back, the dots and that adorable charm are from Stamp AnnieThing!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! If you have time hop over to the Copic In The Craft Room YouTube channel and check out a video coloring up these two cuties!

Swing into spring!

Hi Stamp AnnieThing creative friends! Michelle Houghton here to share a little mid-week inspiration and to encourage you to enter this month's themed challenge over on our Facebook group page.
This month's theme is Twine. Did you know that SAT is now carrying twine? It has been showing up in our grab and go boxes and I am kinnda excited about it as I have ALWAYS loved a good piece of twine or fibers to finish off any crafty project.

I used the Lucille - Roarin' Fun and aimed for a no-line coloring rendition with my Copic Markers.

Here is how she turned out!

Yo might like to see colse ups of the dress and a bit of the hair and feather as well, I am pretty pleased how those came out.

Then of course she needs to Lindy hop her way onto a card so I used papers and twines from the last Grab and Go box, the glitter and mirror cardstock as well as the silver twine are just perfect. I also used the "fantastic" die cut. The only thing I added from my old stash is the fringy red twine, I just could not resist!

It was hard to show the metallic silver cardstock and the shimmering white glitter cardstock without me getting reflected in the image, but trust me she is shinning!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, make sure to continue watching all the fun uses for twine this week and then get your entry in the album over on our FB page!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

How You Bean?

Hello Stamp AnnieThing fans and friends! Michelle Houghton here bringing you a little mid-week SAT inspiration. I have been playing with a Gelli Arts: Gel Printing Plate recently so I decided to create a background for the adorable Gracie-How You Bean image.

I colored Gracie with my Copics:

Then I used the Gel Printing plate, Copic Various Ink refills and a plastic cup to create faux coffee rings on watercolor paper:

Add the two together with some pretty patterned papers and trim and we have a card!

Here is a close up of Gracie to see her hair and skin a little better. I added a touch of Glossy Accents onto the coffee bean on the cup too.

Thanks for stopping by today! If you have not had a chance make sure to enter your "Pastel" creation in this month's theme challenge on our FaceBook Fan page!

Pastel Pedal Pusher

Hello Stamp AnnieThing friends! Michelle Houghton here to share a little SAT inspiration today. I have a Copic colored card front that fits into the theme week we started this week, Pastel Colors!

I used the Julie-Enjoy the Ride stamp and colored the full card front with Copic Markers, keeping the colors in the light range, you'll notice the value # on all the Copics is 4 or below, lots of 0, 1 and 2s. The few that are darker went on the tires of the bike!

Here is a look at her face close up!

And backing out so you can see the full card, I just trimmed and added the image on to a white card base. Copics bleed through paper so adding a card base underneath is a must for me.

Add your pastel inspired cards over at the Stamp AnnieThing Fan page on FaceBook!

Groovy Girl

Hello Stamp AnnieThing stampers! Michelle Houghton here for a little mid-week inspiration. I have a card to share today using Rae - I Think You're Pretty Neato. I colored her up with my Copic markers and got her on a card with lots of fun patterned papers.

I used lots of Earth tones for the coloring, E7's on her dress with accents of E8's, those are those green sections.
Hope you are playing along with this month's theme, if you have not had a chance there is still a little time before we move on to a new challenge.
Short and sweet today!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

Sweet Dreams

Hello Stamp AnnieThing fans, Michelle Houghton here for a little mid-weeks inspiration.

There is a new theme week this week, we are challenging you to use some of the beautiful adornments now found at SAT!

I am challenging myself with a little no-line coloring as well on Holly - Sweet Dreams

I chose to use some of the adornments from one of our Grab and Go boxes and I used them as part of the background versus in a shaker card. It took a little time to dot glue and place the small glitter and sequins, but I like the end effect.

Here is a couple close ups so you can see both the coloring and the sequin backdrop. I just love those fuzzy bunny slippers.

To top it off I will add a link for the video of the no-line coloring as soon as it is uploaded!

Thank you so much fro stopping in today.

Have a Happy Colorful day!

Christmas With Stamp AnnieThing

Hello Friends! I am getting to share a brand new Stamp AnnieThing image with you today! I asked Ann a month or so ago if she would be willing to create a Nativity scene for all of us. I color one each year for Copic In The Craft Room and post it on Christmas and Ann said YES! 😁

So today I am sharing a brand new digital image with you and I have a full video of Copic coloring to go along with it!

If you have not explored the new Stamp AnnieThing site yet you need to take a full tour, each time I come back I discover new things appearing and new categories to explore. (You know things I might NEED!) One of the new sections in the store is the digital stamp section. Now you are not re-directed to Etsy you get to stay right here for your digital images as well! You will recognize many of the images as the Facebook "Color With Me" images that we have been sharing each month. We have more of these in store for you for 2019! Today you will have access to this new digital and instead of live coloring I am including a link to my video.

Countdown Card

Hello Stamp AnnieThing friends and fans. Michelle Houghton here today with a very quick little burst of inspiration for you today.
I created a little card for a good friend of mine to countdown days on. I colored up  Stacey - #celebrate and made a pocket for her to sit on top of with a slide out counter card.
I created a video so you can see all the coloring including the wood flooring that we did a little while ago live on Facebook.
Here is a quick peek at the finished look though:

Here is the little pull out, out:

And a close up shot of Stacey, she had some prepare work done on some freckles and you can see that on the video as well:

Gotta Love a Card Sketch!

Hello Stamp AnnieThing friends! Michelle Houghton here stopping by for a little SAT inspiration.

I love having someone else give me the idea for the design work on my card. I don't have to sit there and scratch my head over a lot of decisions. When someone maps it out for me I can do the fun part, pick a stamp, color, pick pretty paper to match and stick it all together. The fun part of making!

This week's Theme Week Challenge #34 is using a sketch.

I chose my image and pick a group of very simple color combinations to allow me to work fairly quickly:

I colored up the sweet Kelly - Reading Book:

And added her to the card base I designed using this weeks sketch as a road map!

This card came together super fast and that always feels great!

Make sure to play along and submit your version of the sketch 😁

Thank you for stopping by today, more Stamp AnnieThing inspiration to come so keep stopping by.

Have a Happy Colorful Day!
