Gotta Love a Card Sketch!

Hello Stamp AnnieThing friends! Michelle Houghton here stopping by for a little SAT inspiration.

I love having someone else give me the idea for the design work on my card. I don't have to sit there and scratch my head over a lot of decisions. When someone maps it out for me I can do the fun part, pick a stamp, color, pick pretty paper to match and stick it all together. The fun part of making!

This week's Theme Week Challenge #34 is using a sketch.

I chose my image and pick a group of very simple color combinations to allow me to work fairly quickly:

I colored up the sweet Kelly - Reading Book:

And added her to the card base I designed using this weeks sketch as a road map!

This card came together super fast and that always feels great!

Make sure to play along and submit your version of the sketch 😁

Thank you for stopping by today, more Stamp AnnieThing inspiration to come so keep stopping by.

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

Kelly is reading her favourite book...

Hi There Peeps...

Christine here with you today, to share my card using the gorgeous Kelly - this is Kelly - Book (for obvious reasons).  It makes the perfect card to send to a young girl that enjoys her reading or is studying for an exam...

I fussy cut Kelly so that she could appear to be lying on the border I used - I always find fussy cutting therapeutic... hope you do too.  Pink is my favourite colour so I just had to go for a pink background...  and I added some sequins just for a little bit of sparkle.  I can never find just 'the right' place to put sequins and tend to spend about 30 mins trying them in different places.... do you do that too?

Card Info:
Paper - Bo Bunny
Die - Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Border
Copics
Hemp Cord and Sequins

Hope you like what I did and that you'll pop back tomorrow to see more fabulous inspiration from the team..

Happy Crafting..

Summer Reading Log

Hi everyone!
Laura here to share my latest creation with you!
I've used Kelly - Book to make a fun little Reading Log for my daughter to keep track of the books she reads this summer.
She chose the journal and patterned paper from my stash, and since she loved this sentiment when I paired it with Kelly before, I went ahead and used it again.
I even added in a matching pen for a complete set! :)

That's all I have for today!
Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for visiting!!

Bookworms Rule!

Hello there everyone!

Laura here with you today, for my first turn taking over the Stamp Anniething Blog as a Design Team Member!! I am so excited to be here, and I hope my little creations will bring you some inspiration over the next few months!

Today, I'm featuring the adorable Kelly - Book. I love to read and my daughters are total bookworms, so Kelly had to be part of my collection!

I colored her up with Copics, and paired her with some really cute book paper and a fun sentiment for a clean and simple card design.

That's all I have for today.
Thanks so much for visiting!

Kelly- My Weekend Is Booked

Hi everyone! This is GiGi from The Cricut Bug and I have a fun card to share.

I used the Kelly-Book stamp set for my  card today.

I started this card with a standard A2 card base and added the background mat cut with the Jaded Blossom Card Mat Dies.
I added a Scallop Circle and Stitched Circle Die to the background and some twine with a button.
I stamped and colored Kelly with Copic Markers and pop dotted her to the card.
To finish, I stamped the sentiment from the Enchanted stamp set.

I hope you all liked my card for today and thanks for visiting!
Have a great day!
GiGi

And make sure to come back tomorrow for the start of the January Release!

Good Job!

Hello! Melissa from Doxie Mel Designs here with you today.  Since my kiddos are happily at school I thought it would be fun to color up Kelly reading her book. The cut a panel of card stock is the Scalloped Rectangle Die from Jaded Blossom. The sentiment is also from Jaded Blossom, School time Greetings. She is colored with Copic Markers and the image was stamped lightly with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  Colored pencils were used to darken her eyes. Oh.. I have been raiding my kids school supplies for colored pencils because I lost my Prisma pencils. I just found them in a drawer in my craft space, so I am excited to try those out soon. :)

Happy Friday!
