Theme Week Challenge #23 Make Your Own Plaid Pattern

Hello everyone, it's Ellen here with another theme week inspiration. This time (as you know already) it's all about the plaid pattern. On this post I will only focus on the coloring. In four easy steps I will show you how you can make your own plaid pattern on certain spaces on your image.

1. The image that you see is "Rae Wanderlust". First I color Rae's suitcase with my Copic Markers C5, C3, C2 and C0 to add some shading.

2. With T7 I color some strokes that is the start of my plaid pattern. As you can see I use the wide nip of my marker and try to space the lines evenly (you can make measurements if you like that)

3. Now you repeat step two, but with vertical lines.

4. At the end I fill the plaid pattern with some red strokes with the R27 Copic Marker. As you can see I also used a ruler to make the lines straight.

I hope you liked my explanation and you try it yourself.

How to Play Along
- Create a new project and use a plaid print
-Share your creation at Our Facebook Group HERE by December 8, 2017
-Only one entry
-A stamp of your choice will be awarded to the winner, if we have five or more entries.

Orange and Black

Hi there, it's Ellen here today I'm so happy to show you again a Halloween project made for the challenge on theme week 22.

On this card I use out brand new "Sofia Viva La Vida" stamp set. I really wanted to make another color combination on the dress than the examples we saw on the release week and use colors that scream for Halloween. That's why orange and black are the mean colors on this card. For this post I also like to share the colors I used for coloring my image with Copic Markers:

Black and grey colors: C9, C7, C5 and W5, W4, W3, W2
Orange and green colors: YR18, YR16, YR14, YR12 and YG06, YG05, YG01
The brown hair: W9, E47, E37, E18, E35, E97
Skin tone: YR02, YR00, E00

How to Play Along:
  1. Create a new project with a Halloween theme.
  2. Share your creation at SAT's Facebook Group HERE by November 3, 2017
  3. Only one entry
  4. A Stamp of your choice will be awarded to the winner, if we have five or more entre.

I hope to see your pretty works there!

We would love for you to participate with us in our THEME WEEK and it's quite easy to do so!  Simply create a project using ANY Stamp Anniething product (as your main focal point) in the set "theme" for this month. Post your project to the corresponding album over at our Face Book Group page (Stamp Anniething Stampers)! So here we go for December's Theme Week!
Make ANY project that is inspired by GLITTER!

Hi there! Happy New Year!!! It's Katya Bess from Kattyxotica's Kreations. This is my last DT card at Stamp AnnieThing, it's a little sad but happy I had a chance to be here. I will still stalk everyone on Facebook or the blogs as usual... heehee maybe Anne will let me be a Guest DT sometime... Thank you Anne for giving a chance to color up your cute little images and being part of a nice DT. The DT gals are all so talented and always very inspiring.

So, for my inspiration card I used glitter pens.
I colored Anne- Happy New Year separately with
Copic markers and used W3 and W5 to make light
shading on her headband and the blouse because
I wanted it to look silvery/glittery/white so
for that I used the remained of my Wink of Stella
and then went over with my Clear Star Gellyroll.
The Clear Star Gellyroll is my most favorite glitter pen.
For the background I used Distress Ink
and then drew some fireworks and topped that
with my handy dandy Clear Star Gellyroll.
The person I intend to give this card came to visit
for Christmas and went back to Florida
so that is how I imagine New Years to be like...
no jacket and probably a short dress, skirt or shorts. haha

Here is a close-up of my coloring.

Here is another close-up but with the lights dimmed...
it really shows off the glitter but the coloring looks darker
so I wanted to show you both.

I hope you enjoyed the card.
I really hope you have an awesome 2017.
Good luck to the current DT and
and good luck to the new DT.

Thank you for visiting.

Hello Crafty Friends! Katya here from Kattyxotica's Kreations
for this  themed card I pieced three different stamps to make Harley Quinn
Trudy- Birdcage,  Chloe - Stay Cool and Jemma - Happy Easter
I watched Suicide Squad and and I kept listening to some of the songs
even other songs that are related but not on the Soundtrack that
are most likely something Harley Quinn would sing or relating to her
character. I knew some some songs and some were new
but I guess I got a little bit crazy with it. hahaha

I used Trudy- Birdcage's head and hair,
Chloe - Stay Cool for her shorts and legs and then I used
Jemma - Happy Easter for her little jacket.
I had so much creating this card.
The background is a Tim Holtz embossing folder
and I distressed it and doodled a little.
The Smile die is from The Greeting Farm
It was so much fun creating this card.

Hope you will play along with us in our Monthly Theme Week! You can see and post all your projects in our Facebook Group HERE

I hope liked my project for today and thanks for visiting!
Have a great day!

Hi everyone! This is GiGi from The Cricut Bug and I have a fun card to share.
I used the Savanna-Howdy Partner stamp set for my Theme Week  have card.

My card is INSPIRED BY: Jessie from Toy Story

I started this card with a standard A2 card base and added the mats cut with the Jaded Blossom Card Mat Dies.
I used the Border Dies to create the floor molding in the background and stamped the sentiment onto the bottom using the The Great Outdoors stamp set.
I stamped and colored Savanna in the colors and patters of what Jessie wears and pop dotted her to the card.
I tied some jute twine around the top and added a button.
To  finish, I stamped the sentiment bubble from the Funny Bunny stamp set and the sentiment from the Savanna stamp.
**********************************************

Next up is Annie with her rendition of
Pokemon Go and Ash Ketchum!

I started this card with a standard A2 card base and just free formed a background forest type image. Its pretty basic, I know (lol)

I stamped and colored Tony in a light flesh colored ink to do a No Line Coloring Technique.  I must admit, its different than what Im used to, and I feel you see your bleeds and edges much more than when you ahve that crisp black outline!  However, with that said, stamping in a light tan/flesh tone allows you to pencil in lines that are not there and change/alter a stamp to your hearts content....which is how I made Tony into Ash!!
I added the extra hair lines and the logo to his cap, along with the side of his shirt and the pokemon ball in his hand.
Since Pokemon Go is all the rage right now, that is where my inspiration came from!
Here is a close up!

I hope you will play along with us in our Monthly Theme Week! You can see and post all your projects in our Facebook Group HERE

I hope you all liked my project for today and thanks for visiting!
Have a great day!

July Theme Week ~ Day 6 with Katya

It's time for another Theme Week!
Time for a smile.. its all about RAINBOWS... Simply use rainbow colors and themes!
We would love for you to participate with us in our THEME WEEK and it's quite easy to do so!  Simply create a project using ANY Stamp Anniething product (as your main focal point) in the set "theme" for that month. Post your project to the corresponding album over at our Face Book Group page (Stamp Anniething Stampers)! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

So here we go for July'sTheme Week!
Make ANY project using rainbows (papers, colors,, patterns, etc!)
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Katya Bess here from KattyXotica's Kreations and I'm here to show you my rainbow card.
I had a blast coloring this image. I did ask for permission from the owner Annie to alter the bangs and
the clothes.... just an F.Y.I. Keep in mind that the owner has the right to say no.... This time Annie was okay with it and I had so much fun coloring her like Rainbow Brite. Did you gals or guys
have any of Rainbow Brite dolls or toys? The Color Kids or maybe even a Sprite?
I only had a Rainbow Brite and I remember she had yard hair.... to be honest that is all I remember of of the doll of yeah and she had a purple star on her cheek. I did watch the cartoons in Spanish growin up but and I found some of the English videos on YouTube and I watch with my youngest daughter
when trying to soothe her and distract her from her severe Eczema itching.

I used Memento Desert Sand ink dye pad to be able to do the "no-lines-coloring" technique
and to be able to alter the bangs and clothes without any masking but if you look
closely you can sort of see the original lines.
Of course I used Copic markers, Copic multi-liner and a Uni-ball Signo White Broad
(I love Sakura but I wish the white pen was a little more opaque
because I so much prefer how it looks in the end)

For the image I used

This is how Trudy - Happy Day! looks before the no-lines-coloring technique.

Copic makers I used
E0000, E000, E01, E04, E21, R21 and R30
E33, E35, Y35, Y08 and Y26
V06, R24, B24, G05, YR04 and Y08
(sorry forgot the blues in her eyes)
the colors look a little brighter in person the blues in her clothing look a little too dark here.

Here you can see here up close.

Here you can see the shimmer on the stars.

The sentiment I use hand-wrote myself
(I was a bit lazy to see if I even had a color themed stamp. LOL)
and I just colored the rainbow background in carefully
and I only gave it two passes since I was scared they would
bleed into each other. The little stars from from some
My Creative Time dies as well as the rectangle to cut out the layer.
The for the stars I chose colors from the rainbow that I colored then I
added Wink of Stella clear and letting them dry before I glued them
on to the card.

I hope you all really liked all of the cards for the theme week,
rainbows are one of my favorite things to see and color.
I also hope that you get a chance to work on some rainbow themed cards

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a colorful day!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

So here we go for June'sTheme Week!
Make ANY project using stars and stripes!!!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Here is what I made for the June Challenge:

When stars and stripes were mentioned of course all I could think of
was of Fourth of July or an American theme.
My stars and stripes are subtle but you can clearly see where they are.

For this card I used
First stamped the image
then I stamped it on a piece of masking paper
so I could use distress ink all over and not
"ruin" the image I intend to color.
After getting all inky with the distress inks:
Mermaid Lagoon (a tiny bit around Chloe and Sam)
Black Soot (which covers most of the background)
and Mowed Lawn (for a grassy area)
Then I drew up some fireworks
with my Uniball white pen and my Prismacolor Pencils

Here is a close up of the Copic coloring, a tad bit of the background
and you can even see some of the firework colors reflecting
on their shiny hair.

Here is a tad bit of the process
before I started coloring the image
and check out those coupons and spicy wings
LOL  I just use junk mail to protect my table from the ink.

I hope you liked my card.
Make sure to join us on the Facebook page with
a project with the theme above.

Thank you for stopping by.

For a few more details you can stop by my blog

Have a great weekend to everyone
and Happy 4th of July to those that celebrate :)

Hello!  Katya Bess here with Day 6 of
May Them Week: Florals
I used Jessica - For You stamp set and colored her up with Copic markers.

Some colors I used
B93, B91, R30, Y23 and Y21
Y13, Y15, E33, C9, C7 and C5
BV31, E0000, E000, E01, E21, R20 and R30
This is a 6x6 card
I tried to embellish with as many roses I could
without going too crazy with it.
I also colored the white roses with Copic markers
E13 and Y15
to match her clothing, bow and roses in hand.
The design paper is from
Penny Black: Coco Style 6x6 pad
I used the colors from the papers as a contrast
to the colors I colored her with.

Here is a close-up of the coloring.

I hope you like it.

Thank you
for visiting and have a great day.
